Audio Note speaker cabinets are made from materials that compliment the workings of the chosen drive units, instead of trying to damp the resonances, they're placed in frequency bands where they aid and enhance the drive unit's work. This novel and quite difficult method helps to ensure maximum efficiency and dynamic behaviour.
All the AN-K, AN-J and AN-E speakers now start in Level 3 and come without grilles. |

The AN-J is capable of reproducing the scale and intensity of most well-recorded music very realistically. 2-way acoustic suspension with 1'' tweeter and 8.8'' bass driver, rear ported with an efficiency better than 93dB/m. Designed for near wall or corner placement. This enhances bass behaviour (to an average of 28Hz to 22kHz both at -6dB, the widest frequency range of any speaker this size and efficiency). It makes the AN-J less domestically obtrusive and produces a generally better room performance than normal placement away from room boundaries. Designed for rooms from 12 to 40 square meters.

The AN-E must be the most efficient wide band speaker of moderate size on the market, efficiency better than 95dB/m and a dynamic headroom above 108dB. The extremely high efficiency is retained well over the bandwidth, and makes the AN-E very suited to the high quality, low-power triode amplifiers that will form the future of music reproduction, once our obsession with power and specifications is generally recognized as folly.
2-way acoustic suspension with 1'' tweeter and 8.8'' bass driver, rear ported enclosure, with a carefully designed cabinet which is shaped to enhance and aid driver dispersion on one hand, and bass output on the other. The cabinet is lightly braced and little internal damping is used. The cabinet is designed in such a way that it augments and supports the drivers in their task, not unlike the box of a guitar.
